About Folk

A collective of mental health professionals committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy

Our Story

Folk Therapy was founded in 2018 with a simple but powerful vision: to create a therapy practice where both clients and therapists could thrive in an environment of collaboration, innovation, and authentic connection.

What began as a small practice with just two therapists has grown into a collective of dedicated mental health professionals serving the Virginia community both in-person and online. Despite our growth, we remain committed to our core values of providing personalized, high-quality care that meets each client's unique needs.

The name "Folk" represents our belief in the power of community and connection. We recognize that healing happens not just within the individual, but within the context of relationships and community support. Our goal is to help you build a meaningful, fulfilling life surrounded by nurturing connections.
